Suppliers Dinner Posted on 20/03/2008
Our special dinner on March 16th was a great success. We invited our suppliers, the butcher, fisherman, free range egg supplier, coffee merchant, game supplier, and the owners of our local Delicatessen to meet various media people and each other. Bibendum and Laurent Perrier helped us with wines, and Chef Shane created a fabulous menu from the local produce they supply. These days , when Traceability is deemed so important, it was great to see that the majority of our produce is sourced from just a few miles away. The journalists were enthralled by tales from the fisherman about catching lobster and sea bass and bringing it to the Hotel within ten minutes of it coming from the sea. And the butcher, who has his own farm, and knows which field the sheep and cattle graze. We had a wonderful photographer capturing images of each dish Shane created, and even took some great shots of Shane himself in action. We can’t wait to see the final articles!
