We are delighted to announce that Ynyshir Hall has been awarded the Penderyn Restaurant of the Month Award .
The Penderyn Restaurant of the Month Awards is given to select restaurants in Wales which offer innovative food, good service and warm welcome. The judges make the award following recommendations by a panel of inspectors who visit the restaurants anonymously and over a period of time to ensure that the chosen restaurant regularly exceeds its criteria, which are: Excellent food, wines and drinks Warm, knowledgeable, friendly staff Relaxing, elegantly designed surroundings
Stephen Davies, managing director of Penderyn, said: “The Ynyshir Hall is a fine dining experience and, although the hotel has been successful for many years, it is still evolving and experimenting to create new dishes from old favourites.” About Penderyn : Penderyn Single Malt Whisky launched 1 March 2004, the date which signalled the return of whisky distillation to Wales after an absence of more than 100 years. Penderyn is made at the Penderyn Distillery, located on the southern reaches of the Brecon Beacons. It produces only two barrels a day of single malt whisky that is matured in Bourbon casks and finished in rich Madeira wine casks.
